FAQ
Questions
The things people ask before a first order, and a few they ask after. If yours is not here, email us and we will answer it and add it.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders placed before 2pm Mountain Time on a business day are dispatched the next business day. From there it is three to six business days to the contiguous United States, five to nine to Alaska and Hawaii. Every parcel is tracked and you get the number by email the moment it leaves us.
Is shipping really free?
Yes, on every order, with no minimum. There is no handling fee, no oversize charge and no surcharge added at checkout. The price on the product page plus any sales tax we are required to collect is the total you pay.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Not at the moment. We ship to all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and APO, FPO and DPO addresses. If you order to an address outside the US we will contact you and refund the order in full.
What if I do not like it?
You have 35 days from delivery to send anything back, unused and in its box, for a full refund or an exchange. We email you a prepaid return label, so it costs you nothing, and there is no restocking fee and no need to give a reason.
Something arrived broken. What now?
Photograph the box and the item as you found them and email the pictures to contact@callminii.com within 14 days. We send a replacement at our cost and you do not need to return the broken piece unless we specifically ask. Glassware travels a long way and occasionally loses.
Which shaker should I buy first?
If you are starting out, the weighted tin set. Tin on tin seals faster than tin and glass, nothing shatters, and the small tin doubles as a mixing vessel. Buy the Boston with the glass if you want to watch the drink dilute, and the cobbler if you would rather not buy a separate strainer.
Do I need both a Hawthorne and a fine strainer?
For shaken drinks with citrus or herbs, yes. The Hawthorne sits on the tin and holds back the ice, and the fine mesh in your other hand catches the shards and pulp that get through. For stirred drinks you want neither, you want a julep strainer.
Why is the clear ice mould so much more than an ice tray?
Because it is insulated on five sides so the water can only freeze from the top down, which is what pushes the cloudiness into a reservoir underneath instead of trapping it in the cube. What you lift out is a clear block that you cut yourself. A standard tray freezes from every side at once, and that is why those cubes are white in the middle.
Are the glasses dishwasher safe?
The rocks, highball and old fashioned glasses are, on the top rack. The stemmed glassware, the coupes, Nick and Noras and martinis, we would hand wash: it is the knocking together in a rack that breaks stems, not the water. The care section on each product page says which is which.
Can I use the wooden muddler on citrus?
You can, but the stainless one with the toothed head does it better and faster. The beech muddler has a flat unfinished face, which is what you want for mint, because teeth shred the leaf and release bitterness. Two different jobs, two different tools.
Do you hold stock or is this drop shipped?
We hold stock in a warehouse in the United States and pack every order ourselves. That is why we can quote next business day dispatch and why the stock number on a product page means something.
Do you take telephone orders?
Yes. Call +1 (307) 393-5923, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Mountain Time, and we will take the order at the same prices with the same free shipping and the same returns policy. We will never ask for your card details by email.
